More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have done Job shadow/working with special needs children, teaching and babysitting. I have babysat often and am very comfortable with children of all ages and needs.
I am still in high school but i had class's in a teaching academy for 2 years before I moved and now am worked on child development classes. I am going to continue education to be a teacher.
I know try to do babysitting/ nanny jobs, job shadowing and educating myself.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to do educational games, reading, being outside, turning chores into fun games, getting kids involved in food. (They always love mixing, learning about food and trying new things.

The most important part about being a nanny...

is to see the children learning, safe, and happy. i love seeing children grow and be happy. I love being a part of that process and helping when possible And I always understand when I am not a good fit since I am always going to advocate for the children i nanny/babysit.

My experience with special needs children...

I have taken care of multiple children and friends daily. how I will approach babysitting your child is first finding out from you how well they can communicate, then how to help/listen for what to do if they can not communicate to me. Any allergies. any known triggers and know ways to help your child fell safer after being triggered.
I will most likely bring a notebook to right things down in, ask about any safety concerns. then continue with what concerns you have with me, and what concerns you have specifically with the needs at hand.

I will ask if you could start trying to wright down any concerns/needs the week or so before hand so we can properly go over them just so we can try to help make sure we are not missing anything. and i can make sure I'm not missing any information.

I know depending on the needs it can be stressful, and it might take some time for the routine to set in and for everyone to feel comfortable.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nannying moment is when the 2 kids i was watching the 5 year old was in bed and the 8 year old was working in homework.
im working on cleaning up the kitchen and she offers to help me and when i told her no she's working on homework and i only have the dishs left the 5-year-old repeating what i told him earlier years "YOU SHOULD ALWAYS TRY TO HELP CLEAN A MESS YOU MADE"

Which was true to the toy kitchen. it was very amazing he remembered what i said.
