Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I've always known I would work with children. From age 13 I got my certification to be cpr certified and trained on the ins and outs of babysitting. The occasional babysitting gig turned into a part time daycare position when I turned 22. After a few years of hair dressing I wanted to change my path and head toward a rewarding position in childcare. I started as a teacher aid, quickly moving to an assistant in the infant room for almost two years while I obtained my CDA. As I finished up my certification, I was promoted to lead teacher in the toddler classroom where I was able to plan, create, play, and teach for two years. I decided to shift into nannying for the benefit of working closer to home and for more freedom of activity. The last two years I have been nannying for two children now aged 3, 5. It has been an incredible experience, and while they are moving on to kindergarten and upk, I am now in search of a new family to commit to.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Painting, singing, book reading, exploring outdoors, biking, roller skating, sensory projects, swimming, going to the library, going to the park, dramatic play, baking, dancing.
