I volunteer at Sarah Heinz house in the pool as a swim instructor and i watch my older sister that has special needs whenever my mom needs help.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love coloring, Making cookies, playing dress up or playing with their toys, going to the park, playing outside on the playsets or anything there is outside for them to play with. I could also play board games or even video games if the kids want to. Im very flexible to do whatever the kids want as long as its safe for the kids and myself.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny to me would have to be getting to grow up with the kids and possibly seeing the kids improve on their skills even if its to coloring inside the lines. It makes me feel so happy to see the kids improving and that they are growing up.
My experience with special needs children...
My older sister Ada has down syndrome and is on the autism spectrum, so i've grown up with her. I've also watched her while my mother goes food shopping or just needs a break from the house, so I would personally say i have a good amount of experience
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment would have to be when my sister and i would make cookies and then we would watch a movie that we loved at the time. We made popcorn, cookies, and lemonade and watched moana.
