Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been nannying/babysitting for over five years now. I have also grown up with brothers and did a lot of babysitting with them. I have worked in a hospital and the public free library which have given me several experiences when caring for children.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I do all sorts of activities with children so that I do not have to rely on TV and screen time. I like to think you are paying for me to spend quality time with your child so I do these types of activities:
Arts and crafts
Going to parks or playing in yards
Going to the library and reading
Imaginative playing
Playing with instruments
Baking and cooking ( depending on age)
Board games
Puzzles

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny to me is listening and observing. Kids have so much to say and sometimes they don't have to tools or skills to express themselves. I give them all the patience and help that I can give them so that we can work on expressing ourselves the most productive way and to ensure that we are able to comfortably express ourselves appropatly.
My experience with special needs children...
I believe autism is the only special needs I can count. I have worked for some special needs while working at the hospital and libraries but not for more than one shift.
I do however have plenty of education, patience and willingness to learn for individual kiddos if needed!

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments and when this one kid I have watched on several occasions is when she was pushing her parent out the door so she could have all of my attention and start playing.
Another is when the parents tell me how much the kids have loved having me as a babysitter and wanted me to come back over the next day.
