Hello, a little bit about me is that I’ve spent the last 5 years working as an early childhood educator and therapist, as well as a nanny. I really understand kids and love helping them grow, learn, and feel supported. I’m patient, caring, and always try to create a fun, safe space where they can be themselves. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’m currently working as a behavioral therapist for children with special needs and have been doing it for 3 years and loving every bit of it. Before that I was a teacher for almost 3 years for 1-2 year olds focusing on early childhood education and creating fun and engaging lesson plans. I also nanny for a sweet 3 year old girl and babysit for families around my neighborhood.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing arts and crafts!! I think it builds creativity, imagination and allows children to express them selves. I also love encouraging imaginative play and activities that help build fine motor skills and cognitive development like puzzles, building blocks and matching games. I also feel that it’s important to set aside a time each day for a circle time or lesson time for structure and education in a fun and engaging way! For outside activities I love going for walks to the park or water activities for sensory and exploring looking for plants or bugs for more cognitive development.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me the most important part about being a nanny is building a loving and trustworthy report with not only the family but most importantly the kiddos you are spending every day with. One thing I’ve learned as a therapist is that if the child you’re caring for doesn’t have trust and comfort in you then they won’t grow and learn with you which then takes away from what we are here for to love nurture and teach others ur future generation.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve worked as a therapist for special need children for 3 years now. I started out in a clinic setting and moved on to in home private care where I met an amazing family with a 10 year old boy with autism I am still currently working with him teaching him social skills developmental skills, speech therapy and management of behaviors. It is one of the most rewarding jobs I have had as a childcare worker and I continue to expand my education and experience in this field daily.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have so many amazing stories that I will never forget but one of my favorites is about the 3 year old girl that I nanny right now. She is obsessed with mermaids and I have a mermaid tattoo on my arm and she calls it “my little mermaid” and has to say hi to it every morning she sees me. So when ever she got scared about something or wouldn’t want to do something I say “my little mermaid isn’t scared” or “well my little mermaid says it’s time to clean up our toys” and she would instantly smile and and feel better about the situation at hand. She is just the cutest!
