More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Boys and girls club 2 years
I helped kids with homework, reading, writing, research, crafts, we played all sorts of games
Nanny 5 years
I have ares for kids on the autism spectrum, Down syndrome, ADD (severe), anger issues, runners, hitters, biters, and OCD. I am calm and patient for I know everyone is different and has different needs.
I was also the oldest of 7 boys and spent most of my life being responsible for them so I know the chaos that can rise.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am huge on arts and crafts. I can make a game out of anything which makes even the most annoy task to the tiny humans a fairy ride into smile town. I am an excellent swimmer. Honestly tho my favorite thing to do with children is playing their favorite game or with their favorite toy. Nothing lights up a child eyes more than getting to play their spin on tag or space cobows with their dolls. Whatever their little hearts and minds can imagine, I’m game ready to hope into their wonderland and see the world through their eyes.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The kids happiness and safety, being a kid is the shortest and best time of life, no major stressors well definitely less hopefully none but we no sadly bad things don’t wait for any age. What I’m saying is making sure the kids have what they need to live their life to the fullest, if they need different tools, if they play different, communicate differently and parents have to do all that and more consistently 24/7. As a nanny I get to help provide everything the kid needs to live its best life by giving the parents the recharge they need. One less book to carry. I really want every kid to have the best life possible.
My experience with special needs children...
For 2 years I babysat an autistic child with sever anger issues. The child would scream, kick, hit, bite anything to not brush their teeth, brush their hair, eat, take meds, etc. I worked hard to find ways to help the child complete each task is a fun and calm way after a while we were having teeth brushing parties, food games/challenges, after a while it was mostly smiles obviously nothing is always perfect and easy. For any child especially ones who have a harder time navigating the world. Ever kick, hit and bite is worth it in the end, because the best feeling is when we work together and we reach our goal as the child learns new ways to live and thrive in their world. Every experience is different and I drive to help make everyone’s eco their best experience.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I show up at 5 as I usually did for my client I was prepared for a typical day. Typically I’d wake the kid up and I would be greeted with punches and tears. Waking up was particularly overwhelming for this child. But this morning when I sneaked in put their favorite movie on and grabbed their best friend (a doll) I softly started waking them but this morning they grabbed their doll and curled up with a soft whimper. I asked if they were okay and they gave me some grunts, but they were up and there was no screaming not hitting I was so proud I left them to wake up a little more on their own as I prepared breakfast and meds as I was finishing I go to put their plate on the table and I see them coming out of their room, all on their own there was no yells no hits just a small melt down and they came out on their own we of course were making progress it wasn’t nearly as bad as the first day the day before was just a couple hits and soft yells, that day was such a huge day and was so proud
