More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have experience caring for children through helping raise my younger siblings, including one with special needs. I assisted with daily routines, supervision, emotional support, preparing meals, helping with homework, and organizing activities while ensuring they were safe and supported. I have also cared for younger cousins and family friends’ children by supervising them, preparing snacks or meals, and helping them get ready for school. I often helped transport children to school, doctor’s appointments, and extracurricular activities. In addition, I volunteered in kindergarten classrooms where I assisted teachers with classroom activities, helped students with learning tasks, and supported supervision during group activities and playtime. These experiences helped me develop patience, responsibility, and strong childcare skills.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Activities I enjoy most with children are arts and crafts, playing learning games with them, and most of all reading.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where children feel cared for and understood. It’s about being patient, attentive, and responsive to their needs while helping them learn, grow, and feel confident in themselves.
My experience with special needs children...
My experience with special needs children comes from helping care for my sibling with special needs. I assisted with daily routines such as helping them get dressed, preparing and feeding meals, and supporting their overall care. I also helped take them to doctor’s appointments and therapy sessions, assisted with giving prescribed medication, and helped manage behavioral challenges by staying patient and providing calm support when they were overwhelmed. In addition, I volunteered in my sibling’s special education classroom where I helped teachers support students, assisted with activities, and helped supervise the class. These experiences taught me patience, responsibility, and how to provide compassionate care for children with different needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was helping a child express their feelings in a healthy way. Seeing them communicate their emotions, feel understood, and gain confidence was incredibly rewarding. Moments like this remind me how important it is to support children’s emotional growth and well-being.
