My husband supported our family as a trucker driver, whose long shifts often resulted in my carrying most of the child bearing load, which I absolutely loved doing. As the oldest child of my parents I have a large experience raising my 7 siblings from ages 5 and older. I was also an elementary school teacher back in Pakistan. However caring for my own children provided new experiences that I did not have with my siblings or students. The most valuable lesson I learned from all my caregiving experiences is that not every child is the same, but learning how to care and cherish them is the most rewarding feeling. Right now all of my children are grown up and in college or working their own jobs respectively. I am now left with lots of free time which I would love to help another family and also support my children’s education!
