My first family I cared for consisted of two wonderful young girls. I picked them up from school, took them to music lessons, prepared light meals, read to them and participated in activities with them until it was time for bed. My second family had two young boys. I started my shift with them at 7 am so I would prepare breakfast and start a full day of activities. We kept a consistent schedule that involved active play everyday. In school, I also volunteered for the headstart program where I assisted a teacher caring for an entire class of children.
