As someone who has studied childhood/ special education at SUNY Geneseo and has taken care over over 20 kids individually and hundreds of kids in classrooms, I understand the importance of fostering children's imagination, their mental development, and how to implement age appropriate activities. I've been fortunate to have baby sat/ au paired/ nannied kids from infancy to 14 years old. I've also mentored kids through big brothers big sisters and compeer from ages 12-17 years old. Recently I've gained a nephew who I was lucky to have met on day one of his life and am lucky to have hung out with pretty much every week since (he's 6 months old now). I love kids and absolutely care about their safety, whether mental, physically, or psychological.

I love taking day trips with kids, even if it's just running errands so you can spend your free time focusing on your family instead of grocery shopping. I make it a point to teach the children I'm with to respect their homes, so light house work is part of my daily routine. You will never find the house messier than you left it!
I know enough American Sign Language to help infants communicate, and teach basic conversation/vocabulary to older children, and I've had great success with both!
