Hello my name is Ericka Janette Scott. I live in the City of Rialto, CA located in San Bernardino County also known as the I.E. (Inland Empire). I have babysat babies and toddlers, and children with Special needs for quite a few years. I worked for the Rialto, Chaffey Joint Union High School District, Covina Valley Unified, Etiwanda School District, and Pomona School District. I worked with special needs children for many years. I am trained and certified in infant, child, and adult CPR, and infant, child, and adult first aide and certified and trained to use and operate the AED machine for infants, children, and adults.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked as an instructional Aide for children with different circumstances. I babysat for a family for the whole 2022 year. I teenage sat for a parent with three teenagers. I sat for a parent with a preteen and a toddler.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Doing Arts and Crafts, Painting, going to the park, doing sports, going for nature walks, going on different adventures once a week.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Taking care of the child or children. Making sure that they thrive, are happy, and teaching them to have respect, good manners, and to feel safe in their home. Cooking nutritious meals, getting lots of exercise, and plenty of rest, and being attentive to each child or children’s needs. Making sure that they complete their homework, turn off the tv or video games, cell phones. Sit quietly for about 30 mins a day while reading a book. School prep outward, take baths, brush teeth, and put on sleep attire and get ready for bed.

My experience with special needs children...

All children are great. I don’t see any child as special. They just learn and grow according to their desire and how they feel. I worked for the Rialto, and Etiwanda School districts in a SDC class for 4 year in Rialto and 2 years for Etiwanda School district as a one on one instructional aide.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I watched the baby go from wanting to be carried to running from me. The teenager I sat with, one became an RN, the other one a few Airbnb properties owner, the other married and a mother. The preteen a college grad and holistic educator. The toddler a college grad class of 2025.
