A little bit about me

I'm an experienced childcare giver in transition from my last family and happily engaged to the love of my life. While it is always sad to say goodbye, I can take comfort in the fact that my last family's children are on their way to a great future. My fiancé and I have not yet begun the child-rearing stage yet, but I so love my work caring for little ones that I am now on the market for a new family in need of quality care-giving. I have been caring for children since before high-school, in fact it was my first job as the eldest child. In the beginning it was mostly trial and error but since then I have been raising my family's children, neighborhood children, caring for elders, taken CPR, first-aid, and child development and psychology classes to become a more effective nanny. All children are different and very special, I am looking to implement my skills with a family that values education, good manners, and superior nutrition.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have taken care of my siblings, my neighbors children, I have also live with three different families as a full-time nanny. I have also worked with children for photography companies, most recently for Easter Bunny experiences.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I do love some artistic activities, but nearly all of my program is geared towards learning in a fun way. I establish rewards systems to turn chores into games and opportunities for improvement. I have a background in music, art, computing, and language, therefore I enjoy teaching children a diverse set of life skills coupled with age appropriate activities. Every child learns, enjoys, and dislikes differently, therefore it is important to understand them and their parents wishes before designing their schedules.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Enabling hard-working parents to raise their little ones in a safe, positive and educational environment. Also, watching children express themselves and develop their individual talents.

My experience with special needs children...

I cared for a four-year-old boy and 6-year-old girl, with special needs, whose single father worked over 40-hours a week. We had great fun and made a lot of progress with sibling cooperation.
Update: I have been recently fully vetted by both DPFS and Zen ED for ABA therapy kids in schools in our district. I have assisted at 4 local schools and have had stellar reviews from both DOFS and BFFI.

The most important part about being a nanny...
