A little bit about me

Hey y'all! I just moved here from Austin, TX. I am 24 years old. I have been working with children around the Austin area as a babysitter and nanny for 10 years. Most recently I worked for a family of three children ages 8, 6, and 3 for about a year and a half. I drove them around to their extracurriculars as well as took care of their normal routine afterwards: feeding them, bathing them, and getting ready for bed. I also did take care of light housekeeping such as, folding laundry, doing the dishes, meal prep, and light organizing wherever my client needed me to organize. I love to play and engage with the children. I always respect rules on screen time (I personally try to stay off them as much as I can when I'm with the kiddos), and always ask appropriate question so I can provide the best help that is needed. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have also worked as a caregiver. I worked with a family whose 20 year old son was victim of a car accident and obtained a traumatic brain injury. Working with them, I helped get their son in and out of bed using a Hoyer lift, got him dressed, fed him breakfast, brushed teeth, helped him use the restroom (urinal and colostomy bag), as well as drove him to various activities throughout the day. Some days I would work work mornings and some I would work evenings, sleeping through the night ensuring his safety.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Love playing outdoors especially with sprinklers, water hoses, water balloons (I just discovered the reusable ones!). Love to swim. I consider myself a professional hide and seeker. Pillow fights (Always ensuring no one is too rough). Dress up. Drawing, coloring, painting. Depending on children's age, would love to teach how to make bracelets!

My experience with special needs children...

When my youngest brother was two years old, he was diagnosed with Autism. I was 11 at the time, and over the course of growing up together, I learned a lot about the differences in each of us that makes us special. I do my utmost to maintain a sensitivity to each child's needs. Whether its fidgeting in order to take hold of their nervous system, specific sensory needs, niche interests, specific ways of communication, I am always open to learn what makes a child unique and encourage them to embrace their personalities as well as working together through any obstacles they may come across.
