I have been taking care of kids for around 5 years (I used to take care of my cousins in Colombia) Additionally, I worked in an NGO for 1 year, where I took care of 20 kids of different ages. When I moved to the USA I started working as an au pair (taking care of 2 boys of 3 and 7 ages).

The most important part about being a nanny is be able to create engaging activities for kids and providing a safe and loving environment that kids enjoy, research to find activities for them and enjoy spending time together. Aditionally, endure them to take on small tasks like cleaning up toys after playtime, unpacking backpacks, carrying dinner plates to the sink, etc.
I also encourage to have an open and honest communication with parents to ensure family roles and procedures are followed.
