More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I’ve been an unpaid nanny for different families for the past 5 years ranging from newborns to preteens and I’ve taken care of my younger 6 siblings throughout my teenage years. I’ve also worked in the children’s ministry in my church the last 5 years as well.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing interactive imaginative activities like a dinosaur painting party for my boys! We have also done karaoke nights to their favorite songs. We also have done in door safaris utilizing Alexa as she plays animal sounds lol. Themed Dinner and movie nights are probably my favorite because I love cooking so teaching the kids to safely handle
Food and help them create is always fun! Outdoors, I thinks it’s important to play with them even at parks so they feel like you’re having fun with them and not just watching and it keeps them safe.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Giving your heart! We’re not always perfect and sometimes we’re a little tired but that small decision to give all you got it not only impacts the child but it also gives you the strength to keep going. I love making kids feel valued and important by making myself interested in the things they love! With Zion, he LOVES dinosaurs 🦕 so I’ve made myself just as interested in dinosaurs as he is and it makes all the difference.
My experience with special needs children...
Viviana was a exceptional little one that I got to help who was diagnosed with autism. She was going through speech therapy so her therapist would instruct us on interactive ways to build her motor and communication skills. It was also very important to know the sensory things that would be very triggering for her to help her through overstimulating social environments as well as the importance in keeping with a scheduled routine.
The most important part about being a nanny...
With Anise! She actually had taken some of her first steps with me 💖 and it was such a beautiful moment. I also got to help through the difficulty of “tummy time” as an infant by creating a tummy
time song!
With Zion! He’s very musically included so when he wouldn’t want to eat food we would play the song “careless whisper” and he would happily eat with dancing to the instruments lol
With Micky! After picking him up from
School on Valentine’s Day and he was sad because his bag his Valentines bag was missing… because I knew his parents were Christian and were focused on training his faith in God, we prayed together when we got home. I helped him pray through how he was feeling and to be bold in asking God to help him find his valentines… days later his mom called me to tell me that his valentines were found at school and it totally built Mickys faith. 🫶🏾🙏🏾

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in San Dimas, CA: Valerie G.
Hi! I’m Valerie, and I’m a career nanny with over 10 years of experience
caring for children of all ages from newborns to school age. I’m incredibly
passionate about what I do and truly consider this work to be my calling. I’m the
oldest of three siblings, and with both of my parents working in law enforcement, I
naturally stepped into the caretaker role from a young age. That nurturing instinct
has only grown over the years.
For the past three years, I’ve successfully managed a nanny share, caring for
children from two different families with different parenting styles and routines. I
created a daily structure that worked beautifully for both babies, and I’ve repeated that success twice with the same families from infancy through toddlerhood. I’ve
sleep-trained, potty-trained, and helped with developmental milestones every step
of the way. My days are full of play-based learning, sensory play, music,
swimming, park trips, and enrichment activities that support growth and
development.
