More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked in childcare since my first ECE job in 2016. In 2019, I received my lead teaching certification (ECE qualification) and taught as a preschool/pre-k teacher at multiple private centers until 2022.
Since then, I have been a site director for a before and after school program as well as a one on one paraprofessional for school-age students with autism and other neurodiversities.
Throughout my years of teaching ECE, I have gathered an abundant amount of experience in babysitting/nannying, cooking, cleaning, and tutoring.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am a music and art nerd, so it brings me joy to teach kids new skills in hobbies that they may not have considered before. I work with a lot of students who are nonverbal, so I also like teaching kids ASL and they usually end up loving it!
I have played violin and guitar all my life, so I like teaching kids how to play and they always surprise themselves with what they can actually do.
As your nanny, you can certainly count on your kiddo(s) always having arts and crafts to display, new interests, and more confidence in themselves.

The most important part about being a nanny...
My philosophy as a nanny is that every child under my care will be treated with respect, understanding, and patience. Patience is an absolute superpower and I am the kind of person that doesn't get shook up over trivial matters. Kids should be allowed to express their needs and emotions without feeling embarrassed or anxious, so I always prioritize really listening to children before I ever make any assumptions.
I've learned that every child can and does communicate; it's whether they're being heard and understood that often gets left out.

My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with children that have diverse needs and disabilities since I started working with children in my teens. My most prevalent experience is my current workplace where I am a one on one for school age students with ASD. I am CPI certified and have knowledge, experience, and training in de-escalation. I am very familiar with person-first and first-then language and do what I can to stay educated in order to provide the equity children deserve.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite memory is when I was working my first overnight with a preschool kid. She was all ready to fall asleep (finally!) and their family dog got the zoomies and wound the child right back up 😂
I am a huge animal lover, by the way!

Babysitter Available in Denver, CO: Nneka O.
Hi! My name is Nneka, and I am a current grad school student at Regis University looking for part-time nannying + babysitting gigs! A little about me: I am a recent graduate of Santa Clara University (Santa Clara, CA), earning my B.S. in Biology and had a minor in Urban Education. Throughout college, I worked at my school’s on-campus, child development center, which served children of faculty and staff of the university from 0 years (infants) to 6 years of age. Additionally, since March of 2021, I have worked as a part-time swim instructor, lifeguard, and deck supervisor at Goldfish Swim School - Central Park (80238). All that said, I’m incredibly excited to care for new children and families now that I am back in Denver! With my availability, I am available most weekday and weekend nights, which is great for parents in search of a date night sitter or a sitter to watch their children while they work late nights! I am First Aid/CPR certified, and can complete any background checks!

I work seasonal jobs around the world and am staying with family for a month in between. I’ve had a lot of experience in baby sitting and also have many nieces and nephews I care for frequently. I’m energetic and outgoing and a devoted care giver.
I’ve also had a lot of restaurant experiences and love to cook delicious food. Cleaning and organizing is also one of my favorite things to do and can leave your house spotless.
