More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My experience includes babysitting for multiple families, serving as a camp counselor for various programs including church and away camps, and working as a high school leader. I have also volunteered with children and young adults with special needs
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some of my favorite activities to do with children include cooking, spending time outdoors, and going to the park. I especially love trips to the zoo, it’s so rewarding to see the excitement in their eyes when they discover new animals, and it’s a fun way for children to stay active and burn off energy. I also really enjoy playing sports and engaging in other physical activities with kids, as it allows them to have fun, stay healthy, and enjoy being active!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important part of being a nanny is truly understanding each child and their individual needs. Children don’t always have the words to express how they feel, and sometimes they communicate through their actions rather than words. It’s essential to recognize that every child expresses themselves differently and to approach each situation with patience and understanding. Treating children fairly, actively listening, and validating their feelings helps build trust and allows them to feel heard and supported, rather than dismissed or misunderstood.
My experience with special needs children...
From 2020 to 2024, I cared for a family’s son who has autism. I had known him since he was around eight years old, which allowed me to build a strong connection and gain a deep understanding of both the challenges and the joys of supporting a child with special needs. Additionally, I volunteered in a program for children and young adults with special needs, working with individuals aged 13 to 19 as part of a college volunteer activity. These experiences have helped me develop patience, empathy, and the skills necessary to provide meaningful support to children with diverse needs
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments nannying happened one evening with a little girl and boy I was babysitting. She was excited to show me her new Harry Potter video game, and we ended up playing it together for quite a bit of time. Eventually, her brother joined in, and soon we were all running around outside playing tag. Eventually everyone was tired, so I helped them get ready for bed and I read them a bedtime story and tucked them in. What made this day so special wasn’t just the games or the laughter, it was the sense of togetherness. For a few hours, we really felt like a family.

Live-In Part-Time Nanny Available in Colorado Springs, CO: Shadra M.
Hi! I’m Shadra (or Shad), I’m 19 and a student at West Texas A&M University. I’ll be home for the summer and am looking to help families who need a reliable, positive babysitter!
I have a bubbly, upbeat personality and love creating a fun, safe environment where kids feel comfortable and entertained. I’ve been babysitting for years, starting with younger cousins and family friends and continuing through high school and college breaks.
I have experience with children as young as 6 months old and am comfortable caring for multiple kids (typically 1–3, up to 4). I’m used to keeping kids on routines (if needed) while also making sure they’re having fun with crafts, outdoor play, meals, and games.
I’m reliable, patient, and attentive, and I have several families who would be happy to provide references. While I’m not CPR certified, I am very safety-conscious and always prioritize the well-being of the children in my care.
I’d love to help your family this summer!

Live-In Part-Time Nanny Available in Colorado Springs, CO: Diana K.
I like kids and they like me. I grew up helping my mom raise our other 5 kids (my siblings). I understand what chaos can look like, and that is no problem for me. I have helped my siblings with school work, supervised our outdoor activities, babysat them, and so much more. On our vast family property, we also had 3 large dogs and a few cats. On a professional note, I have been a school bus driver with at times well over 50 kids on board. I was definitely one of the favorite drivers. The kids behaved very well when with me, but at the same time I didn't kill their fun. They laughed and were loud, but I had already gotten used to that. I do have around 2 years of experience with house cleaning. It is a pleasure to keep things tidy, clean, and pleasant looking.
Here are some random facts about me. I speak both English and Russian. I am a professional seamstress. I have taken many years of voice training. I love the outdoors.
