A little bit about me

I'm currently a sub for Mustang PS, so far 2 yrs in & loving it! Before I became a sub, I worked in childcare for 17 yrs. (left childcare Dec '21 & began MPS Jan '22). I was a Master Teacher (Certificate of Mastery in Child Dev from Redlands CC) & worked long term at the last 2 facilities I was at. 8 years at last facility & was a private nanny after school & evenings for 3 yrs while here to a little girl who was mild special needs) & 5 yrs at the facility prior (obtained my COM from RCC while employed here). I enjoy reading-using silly voices or replacing the child's name w/ the character in the book, games of all sorts, crafting with items that can be recycled or refurbished, thank you Pinterest! I like taking it upon myself to teach Spanish, Signs & those pesky words like 'please', 'thank you', & 'may I'. Well with having been a childcare teacher, I enjoy curriculum and all activities that are in the childcare setting. I also like going to the park, museums, zoo, anything to keep children active and getting that energy out in a healthy way!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is building that one on one trusting relationship with the child/children so that they feel comfortable with my presence and ALWAYS having those open lines of communication with parents.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Getting snowcones with the little girl I used to nanny for!!!! We got to the window and the lady asks her what flavor she wanted her snowcone to be. She, without hesitation, says 'Baby's Blood'!!!!!! The lady and I looked at each other speechless and we couldn't hold back our laughter!! She tells her that she's all out of 'Baby's Blood' but that she did have 'Tiger's Blood' to which the little girl happily said yes to.

***I did find out later, from Mom, that this is what her 10 year old brother and his friends called the 'Tiger's Blood' snowcone!!!! She apologized that it slipped her mind, when I told her we were going to get snowcones and go to the park, that she would ask for 'Baby's Blood'. This had to be my ALL TIME ABSOLUTE FAVORITE MOMENT and story ever!! My 2 teenagers to this day, when we go get a snowcone, say they are going to get 'Baby's Blood'!!!!
