More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I volunteered my summer last year working at a camp in Idaho working with children of all ages! I also was a teachers assistant for 2 years in highschool working with 1st graders! Lastly I was a volunteer at my church, leading vacation bible school which included kids ages ranging from preschool- 6th grade!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Reading, building legos, going on walks, playing with toys that they might be interested in, painting/drawing, sensory activities (depending on age)
The most important part about being a nanny...
I would say the most important part about being a nannying is allowing the kids time to open up to you, you are a new person in there life whom they aren’t familiar with. Being able to connect with the kids you care for is a crucial part when nannying. I also think having patience is another important part about being a nannying, reminding yourself that they are just kids, they are learning and growing constantly, so understanding that accidents happen, kids will be kids!
My experience with special needs children...
I worked at a camp in idaho with one of my responsibilities included being buddies with a camper all of whom having some form of disability, I have done this 3 times now and that meant I would care for a camper all week, taking them to get meds, eating with them, doing activities if there choice with them!
I also had the opportunity to babysit a teenage boy who had a form of autism, I babysat him a couple times a week!

The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when the little girl I spent almost a year nannying for first said my name, she wasn’t to good on pronouncing her words so when she very clearly said my name, it filled me with joy. I went home that evening and received a video from her parents and this little girl non stop was asking for me and clearly saying my name. This was my favorite moment because I could tell I made an impact in her life. I was some she wanted to spend time with.

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Jackson, MN: Emma P.
Hello! My name is Emma and I just graduated high school in May. For the past 10 years I have played volleyball, so I love being active and outdoors. I also love chilling inside and just watching a movie or tv show. I enjoy playing with dolls, trucks, puzzles, and games. I have over 5 years of experience working with children. I also have experience coaching, running a preschool, and I have worked at a childcare facility as the Assistant Toddler Teacher for six months now. I have worked with infants, toddlers, and preschool aged kids. I am comfortable caring for pets and helping out with any household services (laundry, cleaning, cooking, and running errands). I will be starting college in the fall near the area, but that will only be Tuesdays and Thursdays for part of the day. I absolutely love hanging out with kids and if you decide I am the right fit, I will do anything to make your kid(s) feel as cared for and supported as possible.
