A little bit about me

I'm an energetic, loving, and experienced nanny with experience in teaching, childcare, and summer camp programs. I believe in keeping children engaged and busy! I taught first and second grade, as well as middle school for a few years before transitioning out of the classroom. I have found that I really miss working with children and I know what a difference a quality, caring nanny can make for a family! I enjoy being active with the kids, including doing activities out of the house and inside the house. Cleanliness is also a priority to me, so any activities done will be sure to be cleaned up :)

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked as a teacher (grades 1, 2, and middle school). I have also tutored children ages kindergarten-high school (all subjects). I have nannied professionally for two families, ages 4-9 and 1-4. I have also spent many summers in my youth working at summer camps and other enrichment opportunities.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love getting out in the community with children, such as going to parks, the library, and family community events. I also enjoy doing crafts, reading, and age appropriate educational activities as well.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I know that ultimately these are not my children and the big choices are not mine to make, but I genuinely believe it is important for me to love your children and treat them with the kindness, love, and respect that I would give my own. Ultimately their physical safety comes first, but their mental and emotional safety comes next.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with a variety of children who have had special needs in the past. I worked as a Registered Behavior Technician in 2020, working with children diagnosed with ASD. I have also worked with children who have a wide spectrum of special needs within the education system.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments is when the children I was nannying insisted that I come see their piano recital. I had been working hard with them on practicing their piano, which was sometimes an uphill battle, and knowing that they wanted me there no matter what to see them succeed meant the world to me.
