More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My most significant experience comes from raising my daughter from birth; she is now 14. That has given me firsthand experience with every stage from infancy through the teenage years and the responsibility, patience, and adaptability that come with raising a child.
For two years, I also provided daily care for children ages 3–8, including overnight care. I handled meals, routines, activities, playtime, and supervising multiple children with different needs and personalities.
Professionally, I’ve worked with children in theatre camps and as a counselor for summer camps and after-school programs. My theatre background makes me comfortable creating games, imaginative activities, and ways to keep kids active and engaged.
I’ve also traveled with family friends specifically to supervise and care for their children, allowing the parents to enjoy their trip knowing someone they trusted was focused on keeping their kids safe, entertained, and cared for.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love activities that get kids creating, moving, imagining, and exploring. With my theatre background, I enjoy making up stories, putting on little plays, playing pretend, dress-up, music, dancing, and creating games together. I also like crafts, drawing, building projects, scavenger hunts, board games, outdoor adventures, parks, nature walks, and active games.
I especially enjoy turning a child’s interests into something fun and educational. For example, I once turned a lesson about viruses, cells, and antibodies into a tag game for fourth graders. I’d much rather help kids invent something, explore outside, make a mess with an art project, or learn through play than automatically reach for a tablet.
I’m also happy with quieter activities like reading together, homework help, puzzles, cooking or baking, and letting kids lead the way with whatever has captured their imagination that day.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of childcare is being an extension of the parents—not just keeping their children safe, but reinforcing the values and expectations they’re teaching at home. I want to be a small part of helping kids develop qualities like kindness, responsibility, independence, respect, and critical thinking that will help them grow into capable, productive adults.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moments are when a kid realizes they can do something they weren’t sure they could—overcoming a fear, handling a task independently, or solving a problem on their own. Seeing that little shift from “I can’t” to “I did it” is pretty hard to beat.
