A little bit about me

I am a proud mother of two beautiful grown children, with 20 plus years of experience in raising and caring for my own, as well as many other children. We were "the house" that all of the kids and their friends would gather and play/"hang-out". The afternoons were filled with homework, projects, snack time, swimming, etc...Such a gift and joy and most rewarding job, with all of the daily details, the many activities, and responsibilities that came along with caring for and creating a happy, healthy, and safe environment. Now that my children are all grown up, independent and successful adults... I realized how much missed and enjoyed the job of raising children and thought that helping another family as a nanny would be perfect! As an experienced mother having hands-on experience, (CPR certified) and knows the importance feeling comfortable with the person caring for your children and the importance of knowing your babies are in the best of care at all times.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is giving the parents the security and confidence that their child is being taken care of and in the best of care at all times. To ensure that the child is given proper care, a caretaker who follows through with the parents, philosophies and child upbringing qualities with respect an eagerness. And to essentially be the grandmother or a family member to a child teach them love them, do arts and crafts with them, and make sure they have everything that every child should have growing up. And imagination, education, schedule, consistency, and truly have someone there that absolutely cares.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite Nanny moment, I have to admit my very first child, I will not mention his name, but he was only 12 months old and incredible and taught him to scooter on his own. That might sound a little too much for some parents. He had a helmet he was quite capable, and he was amazing and it was a very proud moment as all my children have given me so many problem moments, and I’m so blessed to have been given the opportunity to share these moments by their parents and the trust that is involved with allowing a caretaker to be with your children. As a mother myself, I’m my children now my children are grown. I remember for me the stress that was involved in ensuring I had a very, very comforting, loving caretaker. That’s why I decided to become a Nanny, and I enjoy it tremendously and there’s nothing better than loving your job.
