More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a Camp councillor/ mentor at film camp in a box. I worked with campers aged 7-13 together to create music videos, films, and stop motion/ Lego animations over the course of a week.
Groups ranged from 5-20 campers and I often independently, or with a partner ran 8 hour days of camp for the week. Activities included pre production story writing, production of shooting the short films, then editing as well as screening the films to the parents. We also played team building games and I gained experience with conflict resolution in groups and siblings especially.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Im a big fan of arts and crafts. Especially short film making as IMovie is especially intuitive to kids. This is a ton of fun and provides skills in video editing.
I also love photography, board games, painting and clay, taking walks outside to play outdoor games.
The children I nannied for in the past loved to walk around the forest in their neighbourhood and find a plants and small found objects (safely of course) that correspond with the colours of the rainbow.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny to me is making connections with and inspiring young people. I remember all the Nannie’s I had when I was little and how I looked up to each of them and enveloped things they taught me into my personality today. The opportunity to have that impact of a child is invaluable.
My experience with special needs children...
At film camp in a box I often worked with children on the autism spectrum. As long as I’m informed by the caregiver of anything I should expect I understand the extra care and patience necessary, although I do not have experience with nonverbal children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favourite nanny moment has to be when a group of campers met me on the first day and asked why I acted like a Disney Princess!
Or when those same kids took a photo with me at the end of the week <3
