I value seeing the impact that I have on the child(ren) I work with. I focus on social-emotional learning, building connections, and fostering independence. I find it important that the child(ren) I am working with feel safe with me and that I help develop essential lifelong skills that will better them both as an individual and when interacting with others.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with children with special needs or who are neurodivergent for a very long time. My earliest exposure was in grade school when I would participate in clubs or groups that supported those with special needs, and I continued to be an active member of similar clubs or groups through my time in both high school and college.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment is the reactions of the child(ren) I'm working with when they see me again. I love being a consistent source of comfort, safety, happiness, and laughter in the child(ren)'s lives.
