The most important part of being a nanny is providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the children in my care. This involves ensuring their physical safety, meeting their emotional and developmental needs, and fostering a positive, supportive relationship built on trust and respect.

My experience with special needs children...

I have had the rewarding experience of working with developmentally delayed and autistic children, as well as deaf children. This work has been incredibly fulfilling and has taught me a lot about patience, empathy, and adaptability. With developmentally delayed and autistic children, I’ve learned to use individualized approaches that cater to their specific needs and strengths. I focus on creating a supportive and structured environment, utilizing clear communication, visual aids, and sensory-friendly activities to engage them effectively.

Working with deaf children has also been an enriching experience. I’ve learned basic sign language to communicate more effectively and ensure they feel included and understood. I incorporate visual and tactile methods into activities, and make sure to maintain eye contact and use expressive body language.

The most important part about being a nanny...
