I have been caring and babysitting for children since the age of 12. I haven’t had an official job to watch children but I have babysat for family and family friends. Anyone who’s child I have had under my care always claim they have a fun time with me and always enjoy me coming back. I have very good patience, and I am very mature and appropriate with my actions and mannerism.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some actives I enjoy are painting, and playing just about any sport. If it is a girl I enjoy doing girly things such as doing hair, playing pretend makeup, playing pretend kitchen,etc; And for a boy I also enjoy playing outside sports like football or soccer or basketball. Or for inside activities we can play hide and seek, or coloring, etc;
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny isn’t the money. What’s important is that the child has a smile on his or hers face the whole time and the parent can be worried free knowing their child is under great care and having a good time.
My experience with special needs children...
I haven’t had much experience with special needs children but the two times I’ve had..it was with a family member and we just watched some tv or played with puzzles.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my all time favorite moments was when a parent of a child who I used to watched, called me telling me he was having a hard time putting his toddler to sleep and asked to facetime me so I can see the toddler and the moment the toddler heard my voice and saw my face he stopped screaming and crying and had the biggest smile on his face saying Gladys! and then I had told the toddler if I read him a bedtime story if he can go to sleep for his daddy and the toddler agreed and I read to him until he was sound asleep. And after the baby was asleep the parent thanked me so much.
