Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I started gaining experience with kids back in middle school, volunteering at an after-school program where I helped students with their homework. Since then, I’ve babysat through Sittercity and had several opportunities to work with families, including caring for a 12-month-old while the parent worked from home and helping another family by taking their three boys to and from school using public transportation. I’ve also cared for my cousin during the summers while her mom was at work, and frequently watched my younger brother and other cousins, keeping them busy and entertained so their parents could focus on work or errands.

I love playing board and card games, doing arts and crafts, playing pretend, reading stories, and helping with homework. I enjoy finding fun and creative ways to keep kids entertained and learning at the same time.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important part of being a nanny is making sure kids feel safe and cared for while also having fun. I want them to know they have a space where they can express themselves, learn, and just be themselves.
