Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I am a recently retired teacher with 21 years of experience. Before that I served as a military officer and a senior police officer. Diabetes and its complications ended my LE career and led me to the classroom. With 42 years of work experience, I am looking to focus on one family of children versus 1100 at this point in time. I have recently applied for Social Security and have retirement and VA benefits. Your compensation will allow me to add extras in my new phase of life, plus most importantly add the benefits of interacting with a family and assisting as their children grow.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to read and I love to help young people develop a love of learning. I have volunteered with the Scouts for nearly 50 years. I have also coached baseball, wrestling, football and soccer at both the recreational/developmental levels and at high school level . I still love the outdoors, the zoo, museums, etc., and would love to share those opportunities with your kids. If your homeschooling, I can obviously help there, and would love to help with the supplemental activities there as well.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is facilitating the growth of the children while also helping your family by assisting with cleaning, food shopping, and meal prep. All of these help give you the parents more opportunities to enjoy quality time with your kids!
