Hi! My name is Grace although some of the little ones like to call me “Gracie Poo!” I would love the opportunity to help care for your children and create a fun, safe, and positive environment for them.

A little about me: I am CPR, AED, Fingerprint and background checked! I Recently returned home from the University of Oregon, so I’m a huge fan of hiking, football, and spending time outdoors. SCO Ducks! I love staying active, whether that’s going on hikes, swimming, or enjoying nature.
I’m also very involved in my church community, where I serve every Sunday and participate in fun skits and activities for the kids. Working with children is something I genuinely enjoy, and I love bringing energy, creativity, and kindness into everything I do.
Outside of that, I recently added a fluffy new puppy to our family! When she’s not getting into trouble, we love spending time at the dog park together.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have a year and a half of experience working in a daycare, where I’ve cared for children of different ages and helped create a safe, fun, and supportive environment. I specialized in infants and love taking care of them. I am comfortable with changing diapers, bottle feeding, staying on a routine, putting them down for a nap, and light housekeeping. Before working in childcare, I spent 3 years as a lifeguard and also worked in facilities management during that time, which helped me develop strong responsibility, communication, and safety skills. In addition to my professional experience, I regularly babysit family members on weekends, giving me even more hands-on experience caring for children. I’m dependable, patient, and enjoy helping kids learn, play, and feel comfortable in my care.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

With us living in Arizona I have to find quite a few alternates since we can’t go outside to often. One of my favorite things to do with kids is play with any sensory toys. Whether that’s playing Needoh or slime. Or playing hid and seek and fake salon. But when it’s a beautiful day outside. I love swimming with the kids or playing any outside sports or going on adventures taking a break from the house.

My experience with special needs children...

Special needs children have a very big spot in my heart. I have babysit quite a few kiddos who are special needs. One being with me working at a daycare I had one special needs students in my class who was very high, energetic and verbaI. But I’ve also taken care of a 23 year old who was on the spectrum and nonverbal. Me and him have a blast weather that’s going to the movies or simply just watching him play with his Pokémon cards.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments would definitely be when I flew with a family to Colorado. We had so much fun at the lake and going fishing with Dad and making s’mores! The girls and I had so much fun!
