More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked for LAUSD (Los Angeles Unified School District) the second largest school district in the nation in special education for 15 years. I also did private tutoring for some years
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love the outdoors and exploring our community. For example, going for walks, the local park or the local museum. I also enjoy art (making arts and crafts, coloring, painting, etc). I also enjoying baking with the kids if age appropriate of course.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Being a nanny is a big responsibility and you are an extension of the family. You are making a big impact and I take that seriously. Also, it's very rewarding and you have those instances were get to be a kid again and just have fun and be silly.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for children with limited or non verbal communication. Children that have autism, down syndrome or intellectual disability.
The most important part about being a nanny...
When I was nannying for a family and their two girls (ages 2 & 4). We were at their farmhouse (they love nature and to walk barefoot whenever they get a chance to which their parents are okay with). So I thought why not join them walking barefoot which I rarely do. We were walking and going to say hello to their horses, we stopped on a patch of grass and they said they were going to give me a pedicure, haha. So they proceeded to put grass on my feet, dirt, and leaves and I
thought it was so hilarious! It was so silly yet something I needed since I wasn't feeling 100% that day. I remembered how to be a kid and in essence they were right about getting in touch with nature and how beneficial that is for children and adults alike.

Part-Time Nanny Available in Rock Hill, SC: Nancy O.
Hi! My name is Nancy, and I’m a senior in high school with a passion for working with kids. I’ve always loved spending time with children, and I’ve had plenty of hands-on experience caring for my younger cousins, neighbors, and especially my niece. I helped my sister care for my newborn niece for two months, where I handled feeding, diapering, soothing, and household tasks. This taught me a lot about balancing responsibilities and staying calm under pressure.
I’m comfortable caring for children of all ages and enjoy creating fun, educational activities like reading, arts and crafts, or outdoor games. I’m also certified in basic first aid and CPR, so safety is always a top priority for me.
I’m responsible, reliable, and flexible with my schedule, and I always strive to provide a positive and safe experience for both parents and kids. If you need someone you can trust, I’d love to help! Feel free to reach out with any questions or to discuss your babysitting needs.
