Heather, a Nanny for Hire in Winchester, MA 01890
Hello! Thanks for taking the time to read a little bit about me. My name is Heather. I am 26 years old. I am very care-free, but careful at the same time. I am outgoing, funny, silly and nurturing. I am a great friend and a lot of fun to be around. I was born and raised in New Jersey and I moved to New Hampshire in 1999 with my mom who is one of my best friends. I graduated from high school in 2003 and went to college and majored in Early Childhood Education. My entire life has always been about children. I am a little kid at heart so working with children is like play time. :) Now I live full time in Brighton/Boston. Most recently, I've served as a nanny for a family where the mother worked from home five days a week for a 8 month old boy. We went for walks 3x daily and spent a lot of time practicing walking and always had bubbles on hand. We read tons of books and I always found something new every day that would make him laugh out loud. I served as a nanny for a wonderful family in Tyngsboro with two boys last year. We read books daily, always made sure we had playdough on hand, did arts and crafts, spent a lot of time outside taking walks, collecting dirt in buckets and searching for dinosaur eggs, played soccer and definitely spent a lot of time dancing. Before that family, I was served as a nanny for a mother who worked from home and I spent a lot of time with their three month old daughter. We read books daily, got in tons of tummy time, and always did lots of leg exercises to ensure gross motor skills were being developed. I have served for many other families and my resume gives more detail. When I was 16, I was hired at the here in Milford , NH and I worked there as a youth counselor all through out high school and into college. I was there for 5 and a half years. My role there was a youth counselor and at one point I was youth counselor/gym director. I am a very active person. I love spending time outdoors, taking long walks, and snowboarding. Snowboarding is definately my favorite winter sport. While working at the Boys & Girls Club, I planned activities and supervised many children at a time. The summer of 2004, I was a group leader for the youngest age group which was ages 5-6. That was a lot of fun. My experience ranges from infants to age 17. I believe children learn through playing so I am all about teaching them fun new things. I started babysitting when I was 12 years old. I babysat my neighbors child who was 1 at the time. When I was 14, she had another baby, so then I started babysitting both of the children. I also would babysit my other neighbors children. She had twin girls. They were a lot of fun. So, my experience with children started very young and I always knew I wanted to work with kids. I have 3 siblings. One brother who is 32 and is married with two beautiful children. They are my nephews and they live in New Jersey , but I love going down there to spoil them as often as I can. I also have 2 younger sisters. They are 16 and 10. They are a lot of fun to be around and they live in New Hampshire. We like to ride our four wheeler together most of the time. :) . I am first aid /CPR/AED certified through Red Cross. I took the course in November 2008 and have the cards as proof. I have experience with multiples! I drive a safe, reliable 1999 Honda Civic, so I do have my own form of transportation. I have a great resume and raving references that I encourage you to call. In my spare time, I do journalistic style photography and I specialize in childrens photography. I am open for any cooking, cleaning and any other errands that need to be done through out the day as well. I am drug free. I do not drink and I do not smoke. I am open for any background checks, drug tests. I am looking for a live out position. Thank you so much for taking the time to read a little bit about me, even though it kind of turned into a short novel. :) Have a great day! Hope to hear from you soon.
