My favorite things to do with kids are sports, games, arts and crafts, and treating them to a TV show every once in a while.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is being a safe place. Nannies are to be the protectors of the kids. Whether it is an intruder situation or even having a hard time in school with bullies or what I call "big feelings", a nanny is a good outlet for a kid to find safety in to feel loved and supported. This can help parents be able to understand their kid better and what they are going through as well as give them time away from their kids in confidence that they will be protected from the ugly of the world in whatever form that takes.
My experience with special needs children...
With special needs children, I have room to grow in experience. I used to help 3 special needs children in the after-school care program I work at. I also helped the church out with an event with special needs children.
