A little bit about me

Hi there! I'm very excited to get back into a household child-care environment before continuing work at the Silverton School! I am coming from working at a preschool in Fort Collins, CO that was based around learning outdoors. Through this school, I gained certifications through online PDIS. These courses taught me in-depth safety protocols along with what an environment should look like for children of early ages. Community, respect, and nature are extremely important to me as I like to incorporate that into my time with our youth. I've worked most with 2 through 13-year-olds. My goal in the future is to direct backpacking, biking, nature camps, etc. for children and most ages.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

For indoors I love games, song, and crafts, it’s pretty endless with those! As for the outdoors…my specialty! Nature is an endless surrounding of adventure and play. I encourage curiosity in measurement with safety. Hiking/walking, exploring trails, having snack time outside, painting, climbing, biking, backpacking, etc. All things I’ve learned through my camos and outdoor-based classrooms.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is spreading wisdom is respect! Taking care of someone’s world, that being the parent/s and child’s. Making the absolute most out of everyday of childhood since it is very important while they are in these impressionable times.

My experience with special needs children...

My sister is actually on the autism spectrum so I have as much knowledge as that really. She is ever so important to me and I’ve been so lucky to have her as a part of me. However, I have never had experience with special needs children for nannying.
