More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have over 8 years of experience providing in-home childcare for families. During that time, I’ve cared for children of all ages—from infants to school-aged kids. My responsibilities have included everything from preparing healthy meals and maintaining daily routines to organizing fun and educational activities that support their growth and development. I’m also certified in CPR and First Aid, which helps ensure a safe environment at all times. Being bilingual in English and French has allowed me to introduce early language exposure in both languages, giving the children in my care a fun and enriching experience.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I truly enjoy engaging children in activities that support both fun and learning. Some of my favorite things to do with them include:

Arts and crafts from painting and drawing to making seasonal projects, I love helping kids express their creativity.
Story time, reading books together, asking questions, and acting out characters to build language and imagination.
Outdoor play whether it’s going to the park, playing with bubbles, or going on nature walks, I enjoy helping children stay active and curious about the world around them.
Pretend play , encouraging their imagination through role-playing, dress-up, or playing house.
Simple cooking or baking activities like making fruit kabobs or decorating cookies, which teach fine motor skills and basic following directions.
Music and movement like singing songs, dancing.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is building a strong, trusting relationship with both the child and the family. Children thrive when they feel safe, loved, and understood, and I believe it’s my job to create that kind of environment every day.

It’s not just about following a schedule or keeping things organized. It’s about being emotionally present, supporting their growth, and helping them feel confident in who they are. Whether I’m comforting them when they’re upset, celebrating their small victories, or just sharing silly moments during playtime, I know that these everyday interactions have a lasting impact.

Being a nanny means being a consistent, reliable, and loving presence in a child’s life and that’s something I take great pride in.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve had the opportunity to work with a few children with special needs over the years, including those on the autism spectrum and children with speech or developmental delays. Each child is unique, so I always take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and what helps them feel safe and supported. I’ve used visual schedules, sensory play, and one-on-one activities to help them stay engaged and feel comfortable.

I also stay in close communication with the parents and, when needed, follow recommendations from therapists or teachers to make sure we’re all working as a team. I’ve found that patience, consistency, and compassion go a long way and taking care of children with special needs and have grow and gain confidence has been one of the most rewarding parts of my childcare experience.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when a little girl I cared for, who had been very shy and quiet for weeks, finally opened up to me. We were sitting on the floor doing puzzles, and out of nowhere, she started singing a song we had been listening to during playtime. Then she looked at me and said, “I like when you’re here.”

It was such a small moment, but it meant everything. It reminded me that building trust takes time, and those little breakthroughs are so meaningful. Moments like that remind me why I love being a nanny knowing that I’ve created a safe, loving space where a child feels seen, heard, and comfortable just being themselves.

Part-Time Nanny Available in Boston, MA: Azul V.

Hello! I am an 18 year old first-year college student from south Texas studying at Simmons University. I am the eldest out of five children so I have a lot of experience with children. I grew up in a single parent household for part of my life and I have a lot of little cousins that I used to take care of, so I am used to taking care of children. I am hispanic, grew up by the Mexican border, and speak fluent Spanish and English. I also really value my education, I feel very blessed to have made it to where I am now in life and I hope to be an inspiration to many first generation Latinas. I hope to work about 15 hours per week, I am willing to work more hours, as long as I am allowed to work on my schoolwork while at the job, all while keeping an eye on the children of course!
