Hello my name is Haeli I’m a 20 year old girl and I’ve been the designated baby sitter all my life. I have taken care of multiple children of all different ages and personality’s. Children love me and my bubbly ways. I come up with fun activities, get even the most stubbornness of children to participate and have a blast. I previously worked as an activities aid in a nursing home mostly filled with dementia residents. I would have over 30 residents to look after at a time. They love me and we formed great bonds. They even referred to me as their granddaughter, they truly became apart of my family. I’m a full time college student who majors in health and life sciences. I have taken an EMT class and successful passed it. I only have one more state bored test left to get my certification. I’m certified in CPR and my mother is a nurse. I have the proper knowledge on what to do during an emergency. If one was to ever occur. Your kids will have a blast, but most importantly be safe with me.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is that the kids are safe and Cared for. Everything else comes second. I believe having a fun, safe, learning environment is important for the children being looked after. I also believe activities that stimulate the mind are important to do as well. Most child development happens within the first 5 years of life. In these crucial times parents are most likely working long hours to provide for their families. So I feel as though it’s important for the nanny to take on a teacher role as well. Learning Abc,123, and fine motor skills are extremely important and should be done on a daily bases. I also think important to form strong bonds with the children you are nannying but also keep appropriately boundaries between them. I want all parties involved to feel respected, included, and be present at all times. I believe an open line of communication with the parents through out the day is extremely important.
