More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve been babysitting for several years, caring for children of all ages from infants to pre-teens. Through that experience, I’ve developed strong instincts for child safety, emotional regulation, and creative ways to keep kids engaged, whether it’s through crafts, outdoor play, or reading time.
In addition to babysitting, I’ve worked as a behavior technician with children on the autism spectrum and other developmental needs. That experience gave me valuable skills in patience, communication, and behavior management. I learned how to follow individualized behavior plans, use positive reinforcement, and stay calm and consistent in more challenging situations.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I really enjoy doing a mix of creative and active activities with children. Some of my favorites include arts and crafts, sensory play, and building things with blocks or Legos it’s always fun to see how imaginative kids can be. I also love reading books together and encouraging story time as a way to build their vocabulary and attention span.

For physical activity, I like doing things like going to the park, dancing to music, playing simple sports, or setting up obstacle courses inside or outside. I’m also a big fan of helping with age-appropriate learning activities like puzzles, counting games, or letter tracing. I try to tailor everything to the child’s age, interests, and energy level, so it’s always engaging and supportive of their development.

My experience with special needs children...

I have hands-on experience working with children with special needs, particularly through my role as a behavior technician. I’ve worked with children on the autism spectrum, as well as those with ADHD, sensory processing challenges, and developmental delays. I also understand the importance of being patient, flexible, and consistent. Every child is different, so I really focus on meeting them where they’re at and creating a supportive, non-judgmental space. I’ve worked closely with families, therapists, and other care providers to make sure I’m reinforcing strategies that work best for the child.
