A little bit about me

My name is Hailey Alyssa. I am 22 years old and I just moved all of the way here from Virginia where I’ve grown up for the past 19 years. I started babysitting at 13 years old for kids ages 7-11 in my neighborhood. When I got my first car at 16, I started babysitting on weekends and after school for kids ages 4-11. I helped with bus stop pick up, school pick up, homework help, and dinner preparation. When I turned 18, I got my first nanny job with a family who had 2 babies. One baby was 6 months old and the other was 2! I was responsible for diaper changing, bottle feeding/warming, pump cleaning, baby related cleaning, puree food prepping, nap time, and much more! I have experience in all areas of child care. I am a fun nanny who loves creating fun learning related activities for the child to help their development skills. "Hailey watched my 1 year old son and my 4 year old daughter on and off over a 4 year period we used her to nanny for my son and daughter during the summer and holidays and school breaks. She came with us on dinner outings and travels to resorts. She is kind and took my kids to fun places like the park, petting zoo, county fair etc. She was an extended part of our family. She came to us recommended by her parents who owned our local coffee shop. She would take the kids to events at the shop and did crafting with them during special child events. We love Hailey! We definitely recommend her and will miss her when she relocates with her family. We can call or text anytime and ask her to sit for the kids and always makes time and to visit them and check in even though they’re in school full time now. Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love teaching children how to cook and bake. Cooking and baking are some of my favorite hobbies. I also love projects and introducing fun yet educational projects to the children that I nanny for. I’m very creative and artsy and I love passing those skills onto the children who are in my care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love being a nanny because I get to watch my nanny kids grow in my care. Seeing them reach milestones, getting taller, aging, discovering themselves and who they are/who they want to become, gaining new interests, etc are what’s so important to me and that’s very special to me as well. I love feeling like I am apart of their family since family is very important to me!

My experience with special needs children...

I babysat part time for an eight year old boy who was non-verbal and not yet potty trained. I helped his mother with potty-training and he is now potty-trained at ten years old!

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my nanny kids and I were outside playing with chalk when the sprinklers turned on and got water all over us, I went to try and turn the water off but ended up slipping and falling on the grass and we had a huge laugh over it. In that moment, my nanny kid remembered everything I taught her about first aid and making sure people are okay. She helped me up and knew exactly where we kept the first aid kit. She brought me inside and got me a band aid since I had a slight scrape on my knee from the fall. Great moment for both of us!
