More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have done many babysitting jobs. I have cared for children ranging from 5 months to 14 years old. I enjoy taking care of children who need me the most, such as younger children. I love the sound of a baby’s laugh! I come from a big family full of children ages 0 to 18 so I have always been hands-on caring for a child.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love playing games! Card games, board games, computer games, etc. I also love taking them to parks or outside to play. It makes me happy to see a child enjoying themself! Anything that is making the child happy does the same for me.
The most important part about being a nanny...
understanding the child & being ready for any task! Ensuring the child(ren) are safe, happy, and feel comfortable. And making sure the parent(s) are comfortable with me and my nannying.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked in many school environments tutoring children with special needs. I have babysat 1 child with special needs and am very flexible with working to understand things better. I will admit if I can or cannot do something. I believe a special needs child needs more attention and care, which I have readily available.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I got puked on while I was watching a 3 year old and his 2 brothers. It was very memorable and he was ashamed! I told him it was absolutely okay! Called mom & dad from their date night and got permission to run him a bath. I made sure the other two were okay (one was 11 and the other was 6). I gave the sick boy a quick bath and dressed them all for bed and the parents rushed home! Everything was already clean by the time they got home and they apologized but it was not their fault! Turns out the poor guy had the stomach flu:( It was a good learning moment for me about learning the ups and downs of watching a child, ensuring they are all safe and healthy is so key!

Hello friends! My name is Bella, recently moved to the Olympia area 2 years ago! With a background of being a big sister to 3 little ones, I absolutely love taking care of littles. I had the opportunity to do so, for an old bakery boss of mine and I loved being a part of their lives. My goal as a child care provider is to create a safe, stable, and nursing environment. This includes lots of outdoor time, development in music, and activities not involving screens!

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Olympia, WA: Jessica S.
I am a pediatric RN who is looking for a better work life balance. I worked as in I home caregiver for children with developmental disabilities to put myself through Nursing School, and currently an taking a break from my work at Mary Bridge Children's hospital.
I am looking for a family for whom perhaps I could transition out of bedside nursing. While I have thoroughly e joyed my time at a pediatric nurse, the industry has simply worn me out, and while I understand the position is not nursing based, I am sure my experience is transferrable.
My nursing license is active, and I specialized in emergency medicine, bringing my family and yours some peace of mine when it comes to the care of the little ones.
I am also married, live in Olympia, and have a 6 year old son of my own, so the mother touch is there too. I have a license to drive and my own vehicle, although it is a small commuter car, and a larger vehicle would need to be available for use if the position demands it.
