Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I grew up in Montana so I have a love for the outdoors and exploring. Prioritizing play instead of screens is an important part of growing up and I am not afraid to play with the kids to keep them engaged and active. I love to do crafts and play games while also exploring how to share and other skills together. I am also happy to help with any school work or tutoring is necessary.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is providing a safe space where children are able to express themselves, learn and play, and feel comfortable while being apart from their parents. While becoming a teacher I have come to understand the importance of children being met with patience and understanding in order for them to feel seen and safe. Also, I think working with kids is fun, they can be hilarious and enlightening.
My experience with special needs children...
It is minimal, however I babysat a 7 year old girl during covid who needed extra help with her school work at home. Also, my nephew is developmentally challenged.
