A little bit about me

Hi my name is Haley,
I love to nurture, play, and train young children to grow up to be the best each of them was made to be.
I don’t mind watching more than one child, meal prepping, or doing light house keeping as I am very thorough and also a very good cook! I would love to structure activities with your child that are engaging, challenging at times and FUN!
Can’t wait to meet you and your family, I look forward to helping your child grow and take the time off of your hands so you can focus on your personal craft/ career!
I have a 1 year old daughter that I would love to bring with me to nanny in your home who I teach ASL to. She is very kind and I know it would be a great opportunity for your child as well to bond with another child around her age. I am seeking to nanny for a family who sees the value in children learning together, as my hope is for her to also be around more children to learn & socialize.
God bless you ,
Haley.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

As a college volleyball & basketball player, I had frequent interactions with youth through our team's outreach program where we would go read & mentor to youth; we also hosted various activities, lunches, & camps that would keep them active, motivated, and truly inspired by athletes. This was one of my favorite parts of being a college athlete, so many youth look up to us& being a positive role model of character & discipline was so important to their well being! I also volunteered in a variety of Youth Bible Camps which was enriching for both myself and the children. Later in my adult years, I was fortunate enough to accept an Asst. Teaching position in a group home & on my shifts I was solely responsible for 5 boys: ages 12-17 who had severe social engagement issues & my role was to help them gain emotional stability, while working with clinicians to achieve specific goals dedicated to each child, in order to rehabilitate them back into regular society & school functions!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to help with arts and crafts, singing and dancing and playing music, with your child! Out door activities like texture seeking, hiking, hide and seek, tag, kick ball, collecting outdoor finds, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part about being a nanny is safety; awareness of our surroundings and always keeping a close eye on the child ! That’s a must. Also, teaching a child good manners, kindness goes a long way later in life !!

My experience with special needs children...

In the group home I worked at every child that I had the privilege of helping to rehabilitate had experienced some form of previous physical, emotional, or sexual abuse & survived...but do to their experiences, each one of them suffered with either social or physical ailments from anxiety, depression, ADHD, ADD, schizophrenia, drug addiction., anger, etc. Each of the children in the group home that I worked with were also abuse offenders themselves, which added an extra challenging layer to work with in their rehabilitation efforts ! The children were rewarding to be around though, & I saw emotional & physical changes in them as I cared with them through nurturing, discipline, & a goal oriented system that restored them back to happiness & health , from a 6 month to 2 year period! It was a blessing to have assisted in their growth!!

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment was watching the boys that I cared for ages (12-17) excited to show me their report cards with good grades after the hard work we put in together to see them achieve better results!!
