More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My childcare experience comes from regularly caring for my two nephews throughout most weeks as they grew from 2 months to 5 years old. During that time, I gained hands-on experience with infant and toddler care, including feeding, diaper changes, nap routines, playtime, meal preparation, and creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment. This experience has helped me become patient, dependable, and confident in caring for young children.

I have also volunteered at my local head start program where i helped care for children with special needs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love keeping children engaged with fun, age-appropriate activities throughout the day. Some of my favorite things to do with kids include reading books, playing outside, doing arts and crafts, building with toys, and encouraging imaginative play. I also enjoy preparing simple, healthy lunches and snacks, helping with daily routines, and creating a positive, caring environment where children can learn, have fun, and feel comfortable.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part to me about being a nanny is being able to watch them grow. Whether it’s for a weekend or two years, being able to see a person experiencing life for the first time and being so happy just makes it all worth it for me. Even if they are annoying sometimes, I wouldn’t change it for the world.

My experience with special needs children...

I have two years of volunteer experience with special needs kids, and one of my nephews is Autistic. I’ve learned how to properly care for them and to make the experience easier for the both of us.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments by far is watching my oldest nephew walk for the first time. It’s something i’ve seen happen multiple times, but just being able to watch him grow into such a capable boy was the best thing for me. And also the fact that i saw it before everyone else did, lol. It was just so bittersweet and sometimes i look back on it and smile.
