My name is Hallie Twombly and I am currently a Junior at Olivet Nazarene University. I am studying Elementary Education and love kiddos!! I have babysat in my hometown for the past 6+ years and have nannied for a family for the past 4 years. I am very experienced in babysitting and LOVE it! I would love to help out your family for date nights, after school care, weekend help, and anything else! I am free almost every weekend and week night- so I would love to help whenever you may need it. I also have experience taking care of pets and can help in that area as well. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am currently an Elementary Education major and have spent numerous hours in the classroom working alongside children. I have nannied for families in my hometown for 6+ years and have regularly held a babysitting position. I am also a tutor in the Bourbonnais area for elementary age students. I have taken several courses and observation hours in Child Development and Early Education, so I have a significant amount of experience with young children. I have held 4 annual babysitting/nannying jobs, but the number of occasional date nights or weekends where I have babysat for family friends or neighbors is too much to count!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

As a future educator, I am passionate about instilling routine and engaging activities for children. There is great benefits in hands-on activities, quiet time, physical activity, and more! I love reading, arts and crafts, outside games, board games, movies, imaginative games, puzzles, coloring, and more with children!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe that the most important part about being a nanny is connecting with the parents. I view nannying as a huge responsibility - this means that a family is entrusting me to love and care for their kiddos.. that is a big task that is to be handled with care. Therefore, I love getting to know the families, their parenting style, hobbies, interests, and family favorites! Overall, this allows me to love the kiddos the best I can and make sure that they are well cared for while parents are gone.

My experience with special needs children...

I am part of an organization called, Best Buddies at my university and work closely with children with special needs in the area.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My absolute favorite nanny moment was when I had to opportunity to nanny for a family everyday after school. This meant I was able to pick the children up from their classrooms daily and start the "after-school routine." I LOVED this time because I was able to hear about their day, experiences, highs and lows, and favorite moments all while sharing a snack. This allowed me to connect greatly with my kiddos and be apart of their day-to-day!
