Hello, my name is Hanna and I am 22 years old! I recently graduated from cosmetology school and am looking for a job to do alongside of all of that! I love working with kids, especially infants and toddlers, and can provide a fun and loving environment. I have a reliable mode of transportation and a flexible schedule. I enjoy doing crafts and outdoor activities, and I’m pretty good at making educational games fun! I have been around babies/small children for most of my life. I am quick to act in high stress situations and have lots of basic first aid knowledge from my time in a Health/Medical program!

I was previously a nanny to a 15 month old boy from October of 2021 to April 2022!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Reading, singing/dancing, playing outside, going for walks, going to the park/lake, arts and crafts, building forts, watching movies, simple cooking/baking, playing dress up, painting nails/doing fun hairstyles, age appropriate video games/board games, sidewalk chalk, riding bikes

The most important part about being a nanny...

Helping kids learn how to regulate their emotions and how they express them! Teaching them how to breathe deeply when they’re angry, or to use their words to tell you what’s wrong and how to fix it. Also, helping them understand why what they did was wrong or not nice, especially if there are siblings involved. But I also want any child in my care to know that I love them like an extension of my family, and I want to make sure I’m doing everything I can to take care of them in the way that they need :)

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve worked with a couple kids who had high functioning autism/ADHD, but I would love to get more experience

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was watching my best friends 1 1/2 year old niece, Luna, and she’s a pretty shy and cautious little thing. She finally warmed up to me after I put on her favorite movie and she came to where I was sitting and asked to sit in my lap. She ended up falling asleep and looking so peaceful, my friend said she never does anything like that so I was feeling pretty loved 🥰 it’s always a good feeling when the child you’re watching really trusts you!
