The most important part about being a nanny...
Helping kids learn how to regulate their emotions and how they express them! Teaching them how to breathe deeply when they’re angry, or to use their words to tell you what’s wrong and how to fix it. Also, helping them understand why what they did was wrong or not nice, especially if there are siblings involved. But I also want any child in my care to know that I love them like an extension of my family, and I want to make sure I’m doing everything I can to take care of them in the way that they need :)

The most important part about being a nanny...
I was watching my best friends 1 1/2 year old niece, Luna, and she’s a pretty shy and cautious little thing. She finally warmed up to me after I put on her favorite movie and she came to where I was sitting and asked to sit in my lap. She ended up falling asleep and looking so peaceful, my friend said she never does anything like that so I was feeling pretty loved 🥰 it’s always a good feeling when the child you’re watching really trusts you!
