I worked at the goddard school in canton for about a year before I had my first child. Prior to that as well as recently I've babysat for people as well as do simple things like pick up kids from school and take them home.

I enjoy going outside as well as arts and crafts. I'm a very creative person so I like to come up with new games or craft ideas all the time.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is the compassion and patience. Anyone can handle a child's basic needs but it takes time and heart to show you care. Being a nanny or babysitter isn't just a job, you're stepping up and playing a role in a child's mind. Kids deserve so much more than someone to keep an eye on them. They deserve someone who devotes their time around them to them and the things they enjoy doing.
My experience with special needs children...
I have babysat many children with behavioral problems as well as children with autism spectrum disorder. My oldest son was recently diagnosed with autism as well so I have first-hand experience with some of the everyday challenges some of these insanely smart children face.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moments have always been whenever I've worked with a child who needed help learning a specific task or struggle and they figure it out and master whatever the topic may be. It's a very exciting and rewarding moment knowing that a child has worked hard for something and has achieved it and I love when I'm able to assist with reaching any goal no matter how small.
