Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked in many different child care settings. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education as well as my Montessori certification. I was previously a kindergarten and 1st grade teacher in a public school and then moved to become a lead in a Montessori preschool classroom. During the summers off, I led many science and stem summer camps for ages ranging from 3-13 years old. I made the transition to a supervisor role at a Head Start that services children ages 6 weeks to 6 years old. Throughout these employments, I consistently babysat for families. I realized my love for nannying this year!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love exploring with children. This means indoor and out!! Nature brings so much peace and joy to our lives and sharing experiences with children is so important. I love going to museums, parks, and other fun outings. Time indoors is spent reading, baking, creating, and so much more! I follow the Montessori philosophy and allow the child to lead. For example a child is in love with fish, we will absolutely study fish and create fun stories about the ocean. The options are endless.
