In addition to professional nannying and babysitting experience, I grew up helping care for children through my mom’s daycare and as the oldest of six siblings. Over the years I’ve cared for children of many different ages, from infants to middle schoolers, and have become very comfortable with routines such as feeding, naps, playtime, homework help, bedtime, and keeping kids engaged in a safe and nurturing environment.

Something I love incorporating into childcare is creative, hands-on activities with toddlers, elementary-aged children, and middle schoolers. Crafts are a great way to keep kids engaged while also encouraging learning, creativity, and imagination. Some fun activities I’ve done with children include shaving cream and food coloring sensory play at the table, making slime, blowing giant bubbles outside, and collecting flowers and plants outdoors to use in indoor crafts. I also enjoy reading books before naps and bedtime, going on outdoor walks, and taking children to local parks and play areas.

The most important part about being a nanny to me is the environment you create for the children every day. Kids are incredibly aware of the energy around them, so I think it’s important that they feel safe, genuinely cared for, and able to enjoy being kids. I try to create a balance of structure, patience, creativity, and fun so the home feels calm, engaging, and supportive for them.
