Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a teacher assistant in the special needs classroom in high-school, and I also volunteered in elementary schools in Gardner.
My position as a “helper” in highschool, I managed multiple students at a time, meal prepped for those with allergies, and also took on large groups of students on feild trips like job Olympics and “Olathe inclusion day”

The most important part about being a nanny...

The kids!! The kids come first in everything, it’s hard being parents, trying to work and cover and take care of everyone one in your household, and then trying to find someone that is a good fit for your home, to watch and take care of your kids. Parents can’t do everything at once. It is important in nannying that (the nanny) is more then just a babysitter, they help clean, they meal prep, they take the kids to do things, they aren’t the kids babysitter but also their friend.

My experience with special needs children...

I work with special needs students inside and out side of school. In school we have an open block that is 2hrs everyday called tops, (teens offering peer support). We do job Olympics, life skills and more. Outside of school we do special Olympics ( any sports that students and friends would like to do) I help build programs for special needs students. I have a few family members with special needs that very from low functioning to high functioning, I have worked and grown with kids of all kinds!
