The most important part about working with kids for me is to make an impact on them. With this, I think it’s important to give a child stability while their parents are gone as it can be nerve wracking at first for them. Giving them the opportunity to feel comfortable with you is always the first step into building that trust and as the relationships build, it’s important to learn more about the children accommodating to their needs but also teaching them news things outside their comfort zone! I also think it’s important to keep them engaged with activities and material that will help them grow!
The most important part about being a nanny...
While I have not had the opportunity to nanny, one kid I have worked with at the daycare, she was one years old. She would always run into my arms and I would call her “little baby”. She only knew a few words but a few days later started calling me baby everytime she saw me which was a very sweet moment from then and on!
