A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Haydyn. I am 18 years old. I come paired with my friend Ashlynn Woodworth; female, 18, no criminal record, CPR certified, childcare experience of ~ 4 years. She is very good with kids with a joyful bubbly personality and is respectful. She also volunteers at her church in the children’s area. We are paired as she does not have a license because her parents will not allow her to get it so I am her transportation. We work well together and fill in each others lose ends that we may lack in.

I want to learn more about caring for children for when I have kids and for my college degree which I hope to be something medical. I am fairly active, I participate in Track and Field and enjoy running during the summer. I am also involved in my community, I’ve been volunteering at my church since ~2020 and enjoy doing it. I am in college while in high school for my dual enrollment class and I also have 5 AP classes this year and 1 honors.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Ashlynn; I have taken care of my brothers since I was able to as well as taking care of my 2 newborn brothers when needed. I volunteer at my church in the children’s area in the mornings and am a lead for youth group. I have babysitting experience of ~4 years. I also was a counselor for 6th grade camp.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Indoor; Coloring, board games, hide and seek, reading, painting, making slime, video games (when allowed), watching movies and shows (when allowed), baking cookies, homework, and anything else you or they request (that’s allowed).

Outdoor; Swimming, going to the park, running, jumping on the trampoline, drawing with chalk, gardening, tag, 4-square, any game generally with a ball, picnic, and anything you or they request (that’s allowed).

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is teaching kids to be who they want to be and learning from them as we go.

My experience with special needs children...

Ashlynn and I have both worked with special needs kids for a class called Links where we were paired with a special needs kid and had to help them with the class and be friends with them (best class ever, would take again if I could).

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment is when I was babysitting and the 8 year old girl wanted us to run into the creek fully clothed and it was so much fun to feel like a kid again and it was harmless.
