My name is Heather Miles. I am married with 3 children. For the past 13 years I have been a preschool teacher. I have worked 10 of those years with 3 and 4 year old's and the other 2 years was with infants and toddlers ages 0-2 1/2 years. I form positive relationships with my students and their families. My classrooms are very diverse and I believe it is important to learn about each other and respect each other regardless of whether we have differences.

I have 13 years experience working in preschool classrooms as an Associate Teacher. I have also worked as an Activity Director, Title I Tutor, and Summer School Associate Teacher in different elementary schools. I have just completed classes to earn my bachelor's degree in elementary education and will be completing student teaching in the fall.
I have 3 grown children of my own that I have raised also.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing art, music and movement, pretend play, play doh, playing outside, reading books, and academics if requested. In addition, I am open to participating in whatever activities the children are interested in doing, such as cooking or playing basketball.

The most important thing is forming a positive relationship with the child/children, being a positive role model, and meeting their physical and emotional needs.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children with Down's Syndrome, behavior issues, social-emotional issues, and adhd. My son is on the spectrum so I have experience working with a child that is autistic as well.
